The 14 matches between the Harrisonville and Pleasant Hill boys wrestling teams were split evenly, with each team winning seven matches by pin. After the last match, the two rivals were tied at 42.

The coaches met and decided the victor by going through tiebreaker after tiebreaker. In the end, it took nine tiebreaker criteria to decide a winner.

Pleasant Hill earned the victory, thanks to scoring the most first points in matches. The three-time defending state champs edged the Wildcats.

On the girls side of the dual, Harrisonville dominated once again. The Lady Wildcats won 66-18. They won six actual matches and won another five by forfeit.
