Last week, the Lady Wildcats played Pleasant Hill for their senior night. They took control of the game in the fourth quarter and won their fourth-straight game in the series. Harrisonville won 43-31.

The two rivals played close for a little more than a quarter before the Wildcats pulled away and never looked back. They eventually ran away with the game, winning 66-37.

Last week, the Adrian sophomore stood atop the Class 1 state podium after making school history. She became Adrian’s first female state medalist and state champion when she won the 235-pound title in Columbia.

All 11 Lady Wildcats who played Monday scored in the 68-17 blowout win over Center.

Harrisonville High School junior Kayleigh Norris was recognized for her accomplishments on the track and in cross country this fall at a luncheon yesterday in downtown Kansas City.

The 14 matches between the Harrisonville and Pleasant Hill boys wrestling teams were split evenly, with each team winning seven matches by pin.

The Pleasant Hill boys, and the Harrisonville girls won the duals.

Harrisonville baseball and boys basketball coach Jeff Langrehr will be inducted today into the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame for his 22 years of coaching at Great Bend, where he won two state titles.
