The Blackhawks baseball team started off the week beating Lakeland, 10-7. They were able to continue their winning ways by beating Archie, Holden, El Dorado Springs and Jasper.
The Midway baseball team traveled to Archie last week, and the Vikings dominated in a 21-0 victory.

The softball squad competed last weekend against Stover, and the Lady Blackhawks won 15-3. The next time to catch Adrian softball in action will be at 5 p.m. today against Lone Jack. 
Adrian junior Bryson Jacobs won the javelin event at the Blackhawks’ home meet last week. Earlier in the week, the 2024 state runner-up threw 60.38 meters, which is several meters beyond what he threw at state last year.

Adrian senior boys track and field athletes started their final season where they left off last year.
The Pleasant Hill girls soccer team won the Lady Dragon Invitational on Saturday at Mid-Buchanan. The Chicks beat Villa Duchesne, 5-2, in the championship game. They are off to a 5-0 start this season.

Harrisonville’s Kayleigh Norris runs down the home stretch with a big lead during the 1,600-meter run at the 2023 state track and field meet. Norris won the race, earning her first state title. She also placed second in the 800- and 3,200-meter runs at state. She’s back for her junior season, fresh off a state championship in cross country last fall.
