Robert “Bob” Eugene Heishman Sr. of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born February 18, 1928, in Brunswick, Missouri. Bob departed his life on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 96 years, 8 months, and 26 days. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in both Europe and Korea. After his service, he built a respected career as a foreman at Armco Steel. On September 5, 1953, he married the love of his life, Patricia A. Simmons, and together they shared a beautiful 58 years until her passing. Bob found joy in all things simple, such as the quiet beauty of gardening, the thrill of boat racing, and the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Antiquing was a favorite pastime, and he had a knack for uncovering treasures with stories as rich as his own. Bob is survived by his three daughters, Vicky Dierkens (Marvin), Marcia Lowe (Greg), and Polly Heishman (Curt); his daughter-in-law, Jill; His six grandchildren, John, Regina, Julian, Jordan, Hannah, and Alexis; six Great-grandchildren, JR, Levi, Haley, Taylor, Alyssa and Gwen; and five great-great-grandchildren, Shelbyy, Elias, Everlyy, Zabell, and Haizlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lee and Anna Mae Heishman(Lunceford); His beloved wife, Patricia A. Heishman (Simmons); his son, Robert Eugene Heishman Jr.; his brother, Harvey Lee Heishman; and his sister, Lula Belle Howard. A funeral service with military honors was held on Tuesday, November 19th at Dickey Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.
