Noel Leon Taylor born March 13, 1938 in Green Forest, Arkansas passed away at Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO July 19, 2024 at 10:02pm.
Noel was married to Dorothy Louise Palmer on Oct 29, 1961 at Hillsdale, WY at the Methodist Church and together they raised their two daughters, Melinda and Sherrie.
Noel enlisted in the US Air Force in 1961 and served 4 years with a discharge in June of 1964. During his time he was stationed in Cheyenne, WY, serving his country for 1 1/2 years in Puerto Rico then being transferred to Guam for 1 month and then back to Puerto Rico. He served as an electrician. Upon leaving the Air Force he moved to Woodland Park, CO where he started his career as a carpenter and continued in this business until his death. He and Dorothy moved to Garden City, Missouri for his business. His hobbies included crocketing, gardening and reading books.
Noel is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; 2 daughters, Melinda Barr (Bryan) of Osceola, MO and Sherrie Fools of Porum, OK; 1 brother, Orville Taylor of Porum, OK; 1 sister, Wanda Kitchum (Cecil) of Tulsa, OK and many more brothers and sister-in-laws; 6 grandchildren, Casey, Dominic (Larissa) and Yancy Barr of Osceola, MO, Ashley Hutchinson of Blocker, OK and Rachel Fools of Arizona; 10 great grandchildren, Egypt Mayse, Aidan & Payton Washington, Cash Michaels, Cheyenne & Lilith Reay, Tristian Barr, Kambri Holt, Dvazny Hale and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Noel is proceeded in death by his parents, Floyd and Nola Taylor; 3 brothers, William, Alvin and Wayne Taylor; 1 granddaughter, Kristen Barr and 1 great grandson, Rowdy Washington.
Military Services on August 5th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
