Originally scheduled to start Monday, the Missouri Department of Transportation pilot car operation will now start in May.
MoDOT will conduct a pilot car operation on eastbound and westbound 2 Highway between Commercial Street to State Route ZZ in Harrisonville for resurfacing beginning on approximately May 4 (revised from April 13) at 6 a.m. until June 15 at 7 p.m.
This is not a complete closure, but motorists might experience delays. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
