Loretta Lucille Manning, 88, Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away November 19, 2024, at Ignite St. Mary’s. There will be no memorial services held at this time.

Loretta “Lucy” was born December 3, 1936, in Perry, Missouri, the daughter of William and Julia Taylor. She was the 11th child of 12 children that William and Julia had. She outlived all of her siblings and their spouses.

She spent most of her adult life in Kansas City where she raised her children and pursued a career as a professional baker and later ran her own successful cleaning business. She had six children from two marriages. The first marriage was to William Dale Perrine and the second to Floyd Jackson Manning. She had an immense love for her church and was a talented singer who shared her faith through music in the church publicly. She was the lead singer for a Christian band called “After the flood, before the fire” that played regularly at the Cass County Rescue Mission. She also spent many years helping run a Christian book store called The Word.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; husbands, William Perrine and Floyd Manning; her eldest son, Michael Perrine; her daughter, Cynthia Pennington and her husband, Bob Pennington; her son, Kenneth Perrine; her daughter, Tammy Jeffries; and her son in law, Bryan Sapp.

She is survived in death by her daughters, Betty Sapp and Sandra Cote; her grandchildren, Lolling Luna and spouse Santiago Luna, Miracle Palmer and spouse Jordan Palmer, Michael Perrine and spouse Tanya Perrine, Floyd Perrine and spouse Erin Virchow-Perrine, Maria Francisca, Melanie Robards, Loretta Cunningham and spouse Scotty Cunningham, Bryan Sapp Jr., Jennifer Sapp, Nicole Sapp and spouse Jennifer Sapp, Christina Sapp and spouse Jeff Heidenreich, Annalise Nicks and spouse Martice Nicks III, Jacob Marron, Paul Marron II, and Rachel Marron; and her great grandchildren, Jasmine Rivera, Angel Rodriguez, Jordan Palmer, Joel Palmer, Keegan Virchow, Lennon Virchow, Frank Mosley, Rico Mosley, Tamani Mosley, Cassius Sheppard, Julius Sheppard, Ashanti Sheppard, Kylie Robards, Michaella Robards, Korey Knowles, Lucas Cunningham, Starson Cunningham, Cody Sapp, Peyton Sapp, Jackson Sapp, Sophia Sapp, Quori Pierce, Jaden Wiley, Emily Heidenreich, Zoe Heidenreich, Brayden Nicks, Maliyah Nicks, Aurora Nicks; and Great great grandchildren, Leo Rivera, Chanin Campbell, Noah Palmer, Ethan Palmer, Jake Palmer, Cyncere Mosley, Frank Mosley, Piper Sapp, and Gustav Sapp.
