On Thursday, a Kansas City man was taken into custody and now faces two felony county of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy with a person less than 12 years old.
Enrique Lopez Martinez, 63, is being held at the Cass County Jail with no bond allowed.
Early Thursday afternoon, Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the area of State Route J in rural Cass County. The deputies made contact with a man who stated his granddaughter was sexually assaulted by a man who was installing floors in the home. After an on-site investigation, Martinez was arrested.
