Holiday Train coming through Cass and Bates counties

The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train will be touring Canada and the U.S. on Wednesday, through Dec. 21 making stops in cities with musical performances, a brief presentation with local food bank officials and ending with some more holiday music.

The CPKC train will travel through west of Belton, Drexel and Cleveland after making a stop on Nov. 28 at the Kansas City Union Station.

There is no cost to attend the show, and the public is not permitted to ride the train. The train will keep its decorative holiday lights on as they travel along the CPKC network, but when traveling on other tracks the lights are turned off.

The 2025 CPKC Train raises money, food and awareness to support food banks, making donations at each stop along the way. The CPKC left for its first journey in 1999 and has raised more than $26 million and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in the U.S. and Canada.
