The Wildcats fall to 1-1 on the season after a heartbreaking loss in their home opener. They are back at home next week to open conference play.

 

Warsaw 28, Adrian 21

The Blackhawks’ first home game of the season was spoiled by a narrow loss to Warsaw. They are on the road next week at Holden.

 

Archie 54, Appleton City 42

The Whirlwinds stay unbeaten with a big over over a top-10 team. They took control early and never looked back in their home opener.

 

Lockwood 62, Drexel 24

The Bobcats suffered their first loss of the season, falling to a Lockwood team coming off a tough loss to Archie last week. Things don’t get easier as they travel to Appleton City next week.

 

Midway 46, Lone Jack 7

Kyle Schenker earned his first win as the Vikings new coach. His squad crushed Lone Jack in its first home game of the season.

 

Maryville 35, Pleasant Hill 0

The Spoofhounds forced four Pleasant Hill turnovers in the game. The Rooster drop to 1-1 on the season with their home opener coming next week.

 

Rockhurst 34, Ray-Pec 14

The Panthers fell to 0-2 with another tough loss. They are on the road next week at Blue Sprigs, looking for their first win.

 

Sherwood 34, Butler 28

Coach Kasey Tittlemier earns his first win, and it came against the school where he spent two years as an assistant coach. The Marksmen are 1-1 on the season.

Sherwood played at Butler, but no score has been reported.
