Harrisonville Police identify graffiti suspects

Less than a week after several downtown Harrisonville buildings were spray-painted with graffiti, the Harrisonville Police Department has identified two suspects.

According to the city, the police department was able to identify two juveniles who it believes to be responsible for the graffiti on the square. The tip on the suspects came in via social media.

However, since they are juveniles, the department won’t be able to share names or ages.

At this time, they have not been charged but some of the business owners whose businesses were hit could choose to press charges.

The graffiti was discovered the morning of Aug. 6 by police officers, who then informed business owners. Some businesses had graffiti on the sides of their buildings, while others had graffiti on the store front windows.
