Grandview man charged after shooting in Belton

A Grandview man has been arrested and charged with two felonies following a shooting in Belton early Monday morning.

Jeffrey Arzola of Grandview has been booked at the Cass County Jail with no bond allowed. He has been charged with Unlawful Use of A Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.

According to a release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the area of East 164th Street in Belton just after 1 a.m. Monday in reference to a shooting. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was treated.

Around 10: 45 p.m. Tuesday, the suspect was located in Grandview, where was apprehended.

The Belton Police Department and the Kansas City Police Department assisted with the incident.
