PLEASANT HILL – The Goppert Foundation has selected the Cass County Public Library as a recipient of a $50,000 donation to progress their initiative to bring The StoryWalk Project to life;
The StoryWalk goal is to bridge physical activity and literacy.
“This project has been a goal for the library for several years, and it is exciting to see it move forward thanks to the Goppert Foundation’s generous support.” said Robin Hudson, CCPL’s director. “Their funding will support construction of the pathway and installation of the permanent StoryWalk signs at our Pleasant Hill branch, with completion anticipated this summer. This project will make meaningful use of our green space by bringing together literacy, movement, and nature for the community.”
For over 95 years, Goppert Financial Bank (formerly The Pleasant Hill Bank) has operated, invested and served the Pleasant Hill community. Jenny Gentry, COO of Goppert Financial Bank said, “The Cass County Public Library has a longstanding relationship with Goppert Financial Bank and The Goppert Foundation. This endeavor is a natural choice to receive our support, and we can’t wait to see it come to life as yet another great investment in our community;”
The StoryWalk Project in Pleasant Hill will be located at the Pleasant Hill branch of the Cass County Public Library.
“Thank you to the Goppert Foundation for the donation to the Pleasant Hill StoryWalk, which will add many hours of family reading enjoyment to the community.” said Becky Klein, CCPL’s board president.
