Former Pleasant Hill standout earns national award

Former Pleasant Hill standout Easton Roe began his sophomore year of baseball at Johnson County Community College crushing the ball.

The 2023 Pleasant Hill graduate was named the NJCAA Baseball D1 player of the week for the opening week of the 2025 season. He helped the No. 5 Cavaliers win three of four games over Amarillo College.

Roe hit .571 with four home runs, two doubles, a triple and 10 RBI for the Cavaliers. He had a home run in three of the four games, and had a multi-home run game in an 18-5 win in Game 3 of the series.

Roe was also named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Player of the Week.
