Earlene Troby

Earlene Troby, 78, Harrisonville, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville Dog Park and may be sent to the Atkinson Funeral Home, 600 West Wall, Harrisonville, MO 64701.
Earlene was born November 27, 1945, in Harrisonville, a daughter of Earl Henry and Mollie (Ross) Lash. She was a lifelong Cass County, resident. Earlene was united in marriage, on her birthday, November 27, 1962, to Richard L. Troby in Harrisonville.
In 1991, she and Richard started Troby’s Maytag Home Appliance Center in Harrisonville. She could always be found behind the counter with one of her many pets. Earlene had a “green thumb”, always had many beautiful plants and flowers, and her love of all animals, especially birds, was well known.
Earlene was preceded in death by her son, Ricky, in 1972; and two sisters, Betty and Carol. She is survived by her husband, Richard Troby; a son, Stacy, and daughter-in-law, Melanie Troby, Jerico Springs, MO; a daughter, Kimberly Troby, Harrisonville, MO; three brothers: Earl Lash, Harrisonville, MO; Louis Lash, Belton, MO; and Gene Lash, Raymore, MO; three grandchildren: Dustin Troby, Jeremiah Troby, and Hayden Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Miah and Payton.
