Dennis “Den-Den” Kimberlin

April 11, 1952 – July 14, 2024

Dennis “Den-Den” Kimberlin, born in Marysville, MO on April 11, 1952 passed in a tragic motorcycle accident on July 14, 2024.

At the young age of 72, Dennis was survived by his wife, Kim (Robinson) Kimberlin of almost 42 years and his four children Dennis Lee Jr., Stephanie Annen, Liz Brisco and Sarah Kimberlin. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, his two brothers David and Doug Kimberlin and his sister Donna Polly. He and Kim have been residents of Pleasant Hill, MO for the past 19 years.

While Dennis proudly pointed out all the places he used to deliver Golden Boy pies in his early career, he joined the United States Army in 1982 where he served 21 loyal years. In 2012, he decided he wasn’t quite ready to be retired (in actuality, he didn’t know how to be idle) and drove a “big truck” taking him all over the country again for Heartland Express. Truly retiring from paid work in 2018.

If Dennis was here to speak for himself, he would say his highest accolade came from being a loving father and exceptional grandfather. He was always present for his family and those around him. He managed to have time to play dress up, give driving lessons, fix cars, repair fences, have countless adventures and cheer on his beloved Chiefs.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dennis. He loved a pool day, camping at the lake, cruising on his motorcycle and helping others. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in daily life. His joy was contagious to everyone he met. His love of life will not come to an end with his death, it will be carried on in all those he has loved and supported for the past 72 years.

In honor of Dennis’s giving spirit and being a kid at heart, there has been an account set up in his name in support of the Love Fund for Children. Please donate with your time or money in lieu of any flowers.
