Update: Peculiar shooting victim identified; charges filed for Marshall

Christopher Michael Marshall, 49, Peculiar, was arraigned in the Cass County Circuit Court this morning, charged with the shooting death of Alyssa Jordan, 50, also of Peculiar. He is charged with murder in the second degree, armed criminal action, and four counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Marshall and Jordan were reportedly in a relationship.

He is being held in the Cass County Jail with a $500,000 cash-only bond.

Marshall appeared before Judge Michael J. Rumley and entered a not guilty plea. He will appear before Rumley again at 9 a.m. Wednesday for a bond hearing.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatch to 23700 block of Missouri Route C at 1 a.m. Sunday. Not all details have been released, but Jordan’s dead body was discovered when deputies arrived. He was arrested shortly thereafter.

Another adult was present at the house, but has not been charged and their role is the case is unknown, but is reportedly not a suspect.
