Kansas City man killed at Church and Dwight

A 44-year-old Kansas City man died early Friday afternoon after an apparent fall at the Church and Dwight plant on Anaconda Rd.
William Johnson, an employee of MC Power, a company based in Lee’s Summit, was the victim. According to the Harrisonville Police Department, they and Harrisonville EMS officials were called to the plant at 12:38 p.m.
Johnson was found having sustained a blunt force trauma to his head. Police officials indicated Johnson may have received an electrical shock causing him to fall.
A spokesman for MC Power confirmed Johnson was an employee, but said, “in respect for the investigation and to the family we have no further comment. A call to Church and Dwight was not returned.

According to other media sources, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been called to investigate the incident. The South Cass Tribune was not able to confirm that report.
