Corey Russell, 34, of Pleasant Hill was found dead in Lone Jack about 3 a.m. this morning.
Russell was previously wanted for questioning by the Pleasant Hill Police Department after allegedly firing his pistol multiple times into a vehicle occupied by a family member yesterday evening. The family member was not injured.
He then fled the scene prior to law enforcement arriving at about 5:50 p.m. yesterday.
Russell was found dead with a single gunshot wound near his vehicle on Cannon Drive in Lone Jack.
