Drivers be wary of traveling I-49 right now. A semitrailer caught fire and has blocked traffic in both directions just south of the North Cass Parkway exit south of Raymore.
Southbound traffic is being rerouted as it will be blocked for an extended period of time. Northbound traffic is backed up to near Peculiar.
Multiple fire departments were on the scene and extinguished the fire. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is reporting no injuries.
