The Harrisonville Police Department has arrested Alex Woy, 27, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, following a juvenile female victim’s report of inappropriate touching in an alley behind a local business.
On Monday, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a male subject, later identified as Woy, approached a juvenile female on a sidewalk near the intersection of Independence and Mechanic streets. Woy convinced the juvenile to walk behind a nearby business with him, where he proceeded to inappropriately touch her.
The juvenile female was able to run away from Woy. He was located a short distance away and arrested.
On Tuesday, Woy was charged by the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office with Child Molestation in the fourth degree, a felony. A $50,000 cash only bond was set for Woy.
At this time, Harrisonville Police Department believes this was an isolated incident, as Woy does not live in this area, and this is the only report we have received. The department is unable to answer questions about the case, as it involves a juvenile and is still an open investigation.
