Martha E. Cole
Dec. 1, 1928 – Feb. 13, 2022
Martha Ellen (Nichols) Cole, Belton, was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Leeton, the daughter of Jay Earl Nichols and Leta Ellen (Elliott-Nichols) Anders. She died Feb. 13 at her home in Belton at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 13 days.
On Oct. 8, 1943, Martha married William Homer Cole in Clinton.
Martha was a homemaker through her 30s, then started a career at Peterson’s where she retired.
She was a member of the Eastern Stars in Belton and attended the First Baptist Church of Belton. Martha enjoyed having family picnics with her sisters, children, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Homer; four sisters, Sylvia Stewart, Mary Ritter, Dorothy Smith and Esther McMillan; three children, Lois Ellen Adams, Howard David Cole and William “Bill” Homer Cole, Jr.; and a grandson, Jeremy Clark Bonar.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Linda Cole Howard of the home and Raye Ann Cole Bonar and husband, David, Creighton; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 18 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Cremation. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
D. Jean Collins
Oct. 17, 1934 – Feb. 15, 2022
Daisy Jean Agnes (Bricker) Collins was born in her grandparents’ home in East Lynne, Oct. 17, 1934, the daughter of Roy C. Bricker and Viola V. (Moore) Bricker. She died at her son-in-law and daughter’s home in Garden City Feb. 15.
On June 10, 1951, she married Cecil Collins of Gainesville. Together they raised six children and lived in several different states and cities. In 2002 they celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Jean married at a young age and lived her life as wife, homemaker and dedicated mother. She took great joy raising her children and being grandma to 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She gave her heart to Jesus at an early age. She taught Bible studies and spent many hours in prayer for her family. She was “Mrs. Clean,” a hard worker, creative and quiet. She loved movies, music, sewing, ice cream, doughnuts, hamburgers and more ice cream.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, in 2002; two granddaughters, Janelle N. Rappisi and Deborah J. Raduenz.
She is survived by her children, Clifford and Linda Collins, El Dorado Springs, Jennette and Doyle Yoder, Garden City, Joyce and Mark Dryden, Kingman, Arizona, Cecil and Lorena Collins, Drexel, Calvin and Chris Collins, El Dorado Springs, and Judy and Tom Rappisi, Kingman; 30 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, David and Carol Bricker, Springtown, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and life-long friends, Joann and James Summers, Warsaw.
Cremation. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date with inurnment in the Austin Cemetery near Archie.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the World Wide Christian Aid.

Neill Cox
Oct. 16, 1943 – Feb. 14, 2022
Neill Cox, 78, Peculiar, died Feb. 14 at his home. Neill was born Oct. 16, 1943, in Kansas City, the son of Elbert “Al” and Dorothy (Putthoff) Cox.
He was a 1960 graduate of Southeast High School, Kansas City. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Central Missouri State, Warrensburg in 1965.
On Aug. 14, 1965, he married Linda Lee Sutton in Kansas City. Neill lived in Kansas City in his youth and he and Linda raised a family in South Kansas City.
In 1999, Neill and Linda moved to Peculiar. Neill built the house with his son, Kevin.
From 1970 to 1978, Neill taught industrial arts at Raytown South High School.
Most of his professional career was spent with Rodrock Development, Overland Park, Kansas. Neill was the construction manager and he retired in 2010. He was on the Peculiar Planning and Zoning Committee for several years.
Neill enjoyed golfing, fishing, car racing, cheering on his grandchildren and their friends in athletics and activities and spending time with his family. He was well known by many for his sense of humor.
Neill was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; two sons, Kevin Cox and Rachel, Lee’s Summit, and Sean Cox, Kansas City; two daughters, Tina Graef and Scott, Harrisonville, and Michele Burris and Mike, Adrian; a sister, Diane Youngren and Jack, Huntsville, Alabama; a sister-in-law, Bev Rhodes and Les, Holden; five grandchildren, Ashlee Burris, Carson Graef, Drew Burris, Mackenna Graef and Alexis Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
At Neill’s request, no services are scheduled.

Monica L. Dabbs
Jan. 22, 1956 – Feb. 15, 2022
Monica Lynn Dabbs, 66, Garden City, died Feb. 15 at her home in Garden City. Monica was born Jan. 22, 1956, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Eura and Doris Ellen (Cummings) Keeney, Jr.
She was a 1974 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She was involved in various activities such as Rainbow Girls, fishing, swimming, skiing and boating at the family cabin at Lake of the Ozarks.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville. She married the love of her life and best friend, Bill Gene Dabbs, June 25, 1988, in Grandma Gladys’ front room.
She grew up in Harrisonville and had lived in Adrian, Merwin, Drexel and Louisburg, Kansas, before moving to Garden City in 2017.
Throughout the years, they moved to various locations while pursuing their passions and careers together as a graphic designer and working in customer service. Together, she and Bill enjoyed square dancing and their many friends. She never knew a stranger.
She loved collecting antiques, crafting and making jewelry and had a passion for culinary and cuisine of all types.
She loved all of her nieces, nephews and friends, always making time for each one.
Monica was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Eura Keeney, Jr.; and a niece, Haley May Shaw.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; her mother, Doris “Doie” Ellen Keeney, Climax Springs; two brothers, Michael Keeney and Mark Keeney, both of Climax Springs; a sister, Marla Shaw and Brent, Haleyville, Alabama; two nieces, Michelle Woolery and Brian and Mariah Boyer and Luke; and four nephews, Garret Keeney, Darrel Keeney and Caitlin, Kaleb Shaw and Carly and Kolt Shaw.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are welcomed and would be appreciated to the American Lung Association.

Diane Fitzwater
Dec. 2, 1951 – Feb. 14, 2022
Diane Fitzwater, 70, Harrisonville, died Feb. 14 at her home. Diane was born Dec. 2, 1951, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Harold Laverne and Mildred “Millie” Inez (Anderson) Morris.
She was a 1969 graduate of Harrisonville High School and was a life-long resident of Harrisonville. Diane worked for Peterson
Manufacturing for 32 years. She was a big fan of the Big Creek Opry.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Michelle Fitzwater, on Oct. 21, 1989; and a brother, Ronald Morris.
She is survived by two daughters, Stacey Borgic and Ben, Niles, Michigan, and Christine Lee and Kevin Hobbs, Grandview; and five grandchildren, Gavin Lee, Gunner Lee, Grace Grissom, Jamison Grissom and Kylee Bohle.
Funeral services were Feb. 19 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Burial followed in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Marilou D. Hart
Oct. 5, 1931 – Feb. 10, 2022
Marilou “TuTu” Hart 90, Grandview, died Feb. 10 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Harrisonville. Marilou “TuTu” Dazey Hart was born Oct. 5, 1931, in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Mildred Glaescher.
She grew up in Indiana and graduated from Mount Summit Schools. Following graduation, Marilou moved to California and went to work for the FBI as a clerk.
During her time there, she met and fell in love with Richard Hart.
They were married Nov. 21, 1956, and were blessed with three children. In late 1960, they moved to Missouri. Marilou became a full-time mother and devoted her spare time to various organizations in the area, Camp Fire Girls, Missouri Town, Shawnee Indian Mission and the Grandview Assistance Program just to name a few.
She was a proud member of the All Saints Episcopal Church and was very active in the children’s ministry.
Marilou had a passion for volunteer work and caring for those less fortunate, but her true love in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marilou was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick Hart; and a brother Stan Dazey.
She is survived by her children, Deidre Benson Parks and John, David Hart and Shawn, Dimity Mohart and Steve and Jack Benson; Jedadiah, Brandi, Jakob, Bailee, Gabriella, Amber, Katie, Raechel and Sam; and 18 precious great-grandchildren.
We take comfort in knowing that Marilou is once again united with her husband Dick, who she dearly missed since his death in 2002.
Private family graveside services will be held in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar.

Peggy J. Moles
April 9, 1953 – Feb. 16, 2022
Peggy Moles, 68, Drexel, died Feb. 16 with her family by her side.
Peggy Jean Moles, born April 9, 1953, was the third child born to Taylor and Ellen (Wilbur) Mills. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Drexel.
Peggy was a loving, giving and sometimes ornery person who treasured, adored and loved her family beyond measure. She served her community throughout the years volunteering for many organizations and community events.
During her 34 years as treasurer for the city of Drexel, she formed many friendships and never knew a stranger.
Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Drexel since childhood and had a strong faith in God.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Ellen Mills; her beloved husband of 38 years, Neal; infant son, Chad Allen; brother Lonnie; and two grandsons, Christopher “Bull” Moles and Gavin “G” Kush-Moles.
Peggy is survived by her children, Jason Moles and Jeff Moles, both of Drexel, Lori Moles, Nevada, Derek Moles, Adrian, and Matt and Danielle Dayringer, Drexel; grandchildren, Jordan Moles, Avae, Aaden and Tyler Moles, all of Drexel, Amber Moles and Jacie and Trent Uttinger Moles, both of Nevada, Eric Moles, Adrian, and Malory Moles, Raymore; great-grandchildren, Christopher “CJ,” Drexel, Brody, Madilyn, Mason and Adalyn, all of Nevada; siblings, Linda and Dale Moles, Drexel, Steve and Jodi Mills, Drexel, Cheryl Collins, Harrisonville, Marilyn and Rob Nickell, Drexel, Sue and Kenny Anderson, Adrian, Sue and Lonnie Mills, Addison, Illinois, Jimmy and Diane Ferguson, Adrian, and Fenton Ferguson, Liberty; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 22 at the Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel.

Hunter M. Morton
June 14, 2007 – Feb. 12, 2022
Hunter Matthew Morton died Feb. 12. He was 14 years old. Hunter was born June 14, 2007, in Lee’s Summit, the son of Jason Matthew and Kristie Lynn (Rough) Morton.
He was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson and friend. He spent most of his time playing video games, playing sports and being involved with the community. He even set up a food pantry at his church.
Hunter was someone you could always count on. He would do anything and everything for his friends and family. If you needed your lawn mowed, he was there. If you needed a hug, he was there. He would always go out of his way to make sure someone was having a good day.
His smile and bright blue eyes were just a couple of the many good things about him. He was handsome, caring, kind, patient, smart, funny and perfect. If you knew him, you loved him.
His favorite sport was wrestling. He loved being able to win matches and to have his dad as his coach. He also loved going to church and being involved with the youth group. He loved spending time with his friends and family every chance he could.
He was preceded in death by his Papa Carl Rough; MeMaw Jerry Lamar; and many other great-grandparents.
Hunter is survived by his father and mother, Jason and Kristie Morton; three sisters, Taylor, Kaylie and Jalinn; aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and many other loved ones.
Cremation. A celebration of life service was Feb. 20 in The Dome at the Archie School, Archie. Inurnment followed the service in the Austin Cemetery near Archie.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the United Methodist Church of Archie Food Pantry which Hunter helped start.

Jimmie L. Perry
Nov. 25, 1931 – Feb. 14, 2022
Jimmie Lee Perry, 90, Cleveland, died Feb. 14 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City. Jimmie was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Cedar Vale, Kansas, the son of Elmer J. and Lillie Irene (Kennedy) Perry.
Jimmie was a 1949 graduate of Bolivar High School.
He married Nora Lee Hagerman on Sept. 9, 1951.
He had lived in Polk County and Kansas City before moving to Cleveland in 1974.
Jimmie had worked for Growth Industries in Grandview for 20 years as a machinist. He was a member of Red Bridge Baptist Church in South Kansas City.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dean; and a son, Ed Perry, in 2009.
He is survived by a son, David G. Perry and Kimberly, Harrisonville; a daughter, Cheryl G. Nissen and Kevin, Belton; a granddaughter, Krista Miller and Michael Zumwalt; and three great-grandchildren, Dawsen, Peyten and Paxten.
Funeral services were Feb. 18 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with burial following in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman.

Geneva L. Schrock
Oct. 1, 1932 – Feb. 12, 2022
Geneva Lee Schrock, Garden City, was born Oct. 1, 1932, near Dayton, the daughter of Edgar Leroy and Hilda Odessa (Hunt) Breeden. She died Feb. 12 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 11 days.
On Oct. 16, 1948, Geneva married Noah William “Bill” Schrock in Garden City. Geneva was a homemaker and for many years was responsible for getting the water bills out to the residents of Garden City. She was a lifelong area resident of Garden City.
She was baptized at an early age at the First Baptist Church. Geneva was a charter and faithful member of the Jolly 60s group and was called the “Calendar Girl” for the singing ministry at all the local nursing homes.
Geneva was called “Grandma Schrock” by all of her family and friends in Garden City.
Besides her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on March 3, 1994; a son, Chuck Schrock, on Sept. 10, 2015; a grandson, Randy Schrock, on Oct. 5, 1988; a brother, Richard; her two sisters, Bonnie Francy and Georgia Wainwright.
Geneva is survived by two sons, William “Billy” Schrock and Donna, and Dennis Schrock and Lynn, all of Garden City; two daughters, Peggy Martin and Joe, and Susie Rudell and Lloyd, all of Harrisonville; and Selena, their granddaughter, who Bill and Geneva lovingly raised; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 18 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City.

Cheri M. Steele
March 5, 1951 – Jan. 27, 2022
Cheri Myrl Steele, 70, Archie, died Jan. She was born in Appleton City, March 5, 1951.
Cheri graduated from Appleton City High School in 1969 as salutatorian. She later attended Metropolitan Community College
where she obtained an associates degree. She later became certified as a Fellow, Life Management Institute in 1998.
She was married to Robert Eugene Steele on April 8, 1989. They would have celebrated their 33rd year of marriage this year.
Cheri had a career as a financial analyst at Forrest T. Jones and Associates, where she eventually retired.
She had a deep passion for all things butterflies. Cheri always spoke of a time in her life where the evolution of the butterfly gave her hope and inspiration. It helped her through many times in her life to continue evolving herself and living with an infectious finesse.
Cheri also had a deep passion for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals, rock music and the mountains of Utah.
Cheri was preceded by her parents James Ray “Briggs” and Irene Ruth Tredway; her brother, Charles Tredway; her sister and her husband, Charlotte and Bob Erhardt; and her sister and her husband, Pat and Ken Philbrook.
Cheri is survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Steele; her son and his wife, Brett and Lindsay Ballinger; her daughter and her husband, Tamara and Chris Jackson; her six grandchildren, Shelby Ballinger, Lucas and Lauren Childs, Bryce and Derek Ballinger and Natalie Jackson; and her brother and his wife, Fletcher and Betty Reichart.
Cheri will be remembered for her tenacious and bold personality, her contagious smile and unyielding sense of humor. The family asks in lieu of gifts donations to Disabled American Veterans.
Funeral services were Jan. 31 at Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, with the Rev. Robert Clark officiating.
Burial followed in the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City.

Peggy R. Corp
Aug. 26, 1950 – Feb. 10, 2022
Peggy Ruth (McCullough) Corp, 71, Hume, died Feb. 10 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City. Peggy Ruth was born Aug. 26, 1950, in Durant, Oklahoma.
She graduated in 1968 from Lone Jack High School, Lone Jack. On May 3, 1969, she married Warren E. Corp. Together, they had three children Christopher “Matt,” Liberty and Jacob.
Peggy worked in the banking industry the majority of her career. In 2013, she retired from Farmers State Bank as a loan officer after 13 years. Previously, she spent 20 years at Prescott State Bank, working her way up to vice president.
Peggy was an intelligent, quick witted, funny and endearing woman. She loved her family with all her heart. She adored being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was kind and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting and doing diamond paintings. She made the best Corp sweet tea around. She also loved ceramics, especially those made in Occupied Japan.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Jasper Jackson; sisters, Patty Jo Milke and Nancie Ann Phillips; brother, Jimmy McCullough; and nephews, Travis Jackson McCullough and Jason McCullough.
She is survived by her husband, Warren E. Corp, Hume; sister, Donnie and Renee Parrish; her three children, Christopher “Matt” Corp, Liberty Arnold and Jacob Corp and his wife, Samantha; 10 grandchildren, Jackson Arnold, Isabella and her husband Justin Harris, Adrian Arnold, Ian Corp, Issac Corp, Mackenzie Corp, Matthew Corp, Nicholas Coker, Meilah Corp and Wyatt Corp; a great-grandson, Leonardo Corp; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Feb. 19 at the Hume Christian Church. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery, Foster.

Allen S. Runyon
March 25, 1928 – Feb. 15, 2022
Allen Shotwell Runyon, 93, Adrian, died Feb. 15 at Bates County Memorial Hospital, Butler. Allen was born March 25, 1928,
in Belton, the son of Andrew and Louie Lee (Harper) Runyon.
He married Joyce Arlene Kinnison on Sept. 1, 1949.
He had lived in Belton and Freeman for more than 40 years before moving to Adrian in 1988.
Allen was a farmer and a cattleman. He also worked for RED Construction in Greenwood. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce, on Oct. 29, 2021; a brother and six sisters; a son-in-law, Ed Hughes; and a grandson, Jake Farr.
He is survived by a son, Allen “Pete” Runyon, Adrian; three daughters, Kathy Hughes, Lee’s Summit, Diane Goode and Dave, Lone Jack, and Marsha Farr and Shane, Independence; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were Feb. 22 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with burial following in the Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Patricia L. Smith
Oct. 23, 1949 – Feb. 14, 2022
Patricia “Pat” Lynn Smith, 72, Rich Hill, died Feb. 14 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City. Pat was born Oct. 23, 1949,
the daughter of Joel General and Theresa Rose (Tuiet) Ragan in Butler.
Pat, one of three children, grew up in Adrian where she graduated from Adrian High School in 1967.
Pat married Robert Smith on Oct. 3, 2001.
You may remember her smile when she was working at Yoss Thriftway or Rudy’s Convenience Store and then later at Russell Stover’s Candy in Butler.
A loving wife, mother and grammy, Pat loved talking to and visiting with anyone and everyone. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan, advocate and loved them with her whole heart. She loved spending time with her family, no matter what they were doing. She was always ready to serve and help at a moment’s notice.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, JG and Theresa Ragan; her brothers, Mike Ragan and Randy Ragan; and her son, Brian Petty.
She is survived by her partner and husband of 30 years, Bobby Smith, Rich Hill; her children, Kristen Morrow and her husband, Darrin, Adrian, Megan Cantrell and her husband, Gabe, Adrian, Jennifer Klinksick and her husband, Craig, Rich Hill, and Jessica Skinner and her husband, Zac, Leawood, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Keenan Morrow, Gunnar Morrow, Ragan Hendrix, Nash Hendrix, Izzy Cantrell, Will Klinksick, Blake Klinksick, Jameson Skinner and Savannah Skinner; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was Feb. 18 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian.

Phyllis M. Talbot
March 14, 1949 – Jan. 27, 2022
Phyllis Mary (Watson) Talbot, 72, was born on March 14, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Slyvia Slyk and James Watson. She died Jan. 27 at the Appleton City Manor.
Phyllis met the love of her life, Laurel Talbot, at the age of 16. They met square dancing in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
They were married Oct. 4, 1967. Together they had five children. They were married for 48 years until Laurel died in 2015.
Phyllis graduated with her Bachelor’s, Master’s and Specialist in Education degrees from Northwest State University.
She loved teaching children. In 1995, Phyllis and Laurel moved to Appleton City to be the Title I Reading Teacher in the Appleton City R-2 School District. In 1998, Phyllis was the principal of the Montrose R-14 School District.
In 2003, she became a co-superintendent for the Ballard R-2 School District.
For the past several years, she was a beloved family member and substitute teacher for the Lakeland School District where she was known as “Mrs. T.” Phyllis had many hobbies which included sewing, reading, gardening, cooking and canning. She was known to give her Christmas bread every year to friends and family. She also loved her cat, Patch, and dog, Yoda.
When asked about challenges of going through cancer treatments, Phyllis quoted the book “Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen. “We can’t go over it. We can’t go under it. Oh no! We got to go through it!”
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; Laurel; her brother, Jim; her stepbrother, Jack; and her grandson, Sean Michael Weston.
She is survived by her half-sisters, Kathy and Patty; her children, Bill Talbot and Celia, Atlanta, Georgia, Dennis Tal bot and Diane, Urich, Mary Talbot and Auto Anniss, Hamilton, New Zealand, Anna Weston and Sean, Kansas City, Tim Talbot and Jennifer, Las Vegas, Nevada; and grandchildren, Elli, Matthew, Michael, Nicholas, Bryce, Andrew and Emmett.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mrs. T Memorial Fund that is set up for graduating senior scholarships where she taught. Both the church and memorial fund information is Community of Christ, 108 Pawnee Dr., Clinton, MO 64735.
A celebration of life was Feb. 12 at the Community of Christ Church in Clinton.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Hill and Sons Funeral Home, Appleton City.
Grace M. Taute

Grace Matilda Taute, 88, Butler, died Jan. 30 at MedicaLodge of Butler. She was born Jan. 29, 1934, the daughter of Fred and Matilda Kreppein Aulgur in Kansas City.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; 2-year-old daughter, Ceclilia Marie Stevens; six brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Verle Lee Taute, Butler; two daughters, Charlene Rees and husband, Brin, Mesquite, Texas, and Kay Davis and husband, Mike, Amoret; 10 grandchildren; 19 great -grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 5 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel, Butler. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.
Contributions are suggested to Heartland Hospice or the Leukemia Association.

Sherry Lynn Warren

Sherry Lynn Warren, 69, Adrian, died Feb. 15 at her home surrounded by her family.
Sherry was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Harrisonville, the daughter of the late Fred Duane Ayers and Nita June (Welborn) Ayers.
Sherry spent her working years in the medical field as an LPN, EMT, paramedic and helping teach others to do the same. Her passion after leaving the medical field was gardening and working outdoors at her home in Adrian.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and June Ayers.
She is survived by her three sons, Billy Wisner, Adrian, G.D. Wisner (Samantha), Adrian, and Chris Wisner (Tonya), Raymore; seven grandchildren, Madison, Aden, Hayden, Mitchell, Destanie, Dontae and Bailey; and her brother, John Ayers and his daughter, Bethany Ayers, Adrian.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian.
