HHS graduation tomorrow

The commencement ceremonies for the Harrisonville High School class of 2021 are slated for 7 p.m. tomorrow night at Memorial Stadium. With bad weather in the forecast, the event could be moved to Saturday night.

The 210-member senior class will be seated on the Memorial Stadium field with the crowd sitting in the stands, similar to last year.

Student honors will be announced, including the name of the honor graduate. The address will be given by Breezy Semler.

Following the ceremony, the Senior Mania organization is holding “A tip of the cap” party in the parking lot of Family Center Farm and Home.

The event will include a DJ, food trucks, a bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course and a money cage. The event is scheduled to run from 8 to 11 p.m. It is open to the public.

Other area graduations scheduled for this weekend are Miami, also tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in the school gym and Drexel and Midway which will hold ceremonies beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Both ceremonies will be held in the school’s gymnasium.
