Rumors were confirmed last week when it was announced Culver’s is opening a location in Harrisonville. The chain known for its “ButterBurgers” and “Fresh Frozen Custard” is expected to open this fall.
The store will be located at 1415 N. State Route 291, the former location of Golden Corral.
Reportedly, the existing building as well as a car wash behind the building will be raised to make room for the new restaurant.
Culvers is said to serve fast, casual food cooked to order. The location will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“We’re excited to open and become an active member of the community,” franchise co-owner, Connor Hartnett said. “When Harrisonville residents and travelers are looking for handcrafted meals and tasty frozen treats, we’ll be ready to serve them with the warm hospitality Culver’s is known for.”
Owners Matt and Jeannie Mitchell opened their first Culver’s in Lee’s Summit in 2004. Since then, they have opened restaurants in Blue Springs, Raymore, Independence, North Kansas City, Warrensburg and most recently a second location in Lee’s Summit. They are very active in their communities including raising funds for school districts, first responders and Future Farmers of America.
A release about the announcement said, “Culver’s signature sandwich, the ButterBurger, is made with 100 percent fresh, never frozen beef. It gets its name from its lightly buttered and toasted bun. Culver’s Fresh Frozen Custard gets its legendary creamy decadence from high-quality, fresh Wisconsin dairy. Other guest favorites include chicken sandwiches and fresh garden salads. Side options include crinklecut fries and Wisconsin cheese curds.
Culvers has more than 700 locations in 25 states.
