Harrisonville Schools announce food assistance program

Release from the school:

We understand that some of our families rely on the availability of school meals for proper nourishment. In order to help with this and through support of the USDA and Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Food & Nutrition Services, Harrisonville Schools will be able to provide “To Go” lunch and breakfast meals to ALL children FREE of charge during our time of closure – Monday, March 23 through Friday, April 3 at the sites below.

At the time of pickup, a packaged lunch for the day will be provided, as well as a breakfast for the following day. Meals will be provided free of cost and are available to any child, ages 0-18.

**Children need to be present at pick-up to get the meals per federal regulations.**

In order to be served by lunch on Monday, please complete the form below by Friday morning (March 20) at 8 a.m.

Wal-Mart parking lot, 1700 N. Route 291
Sutherlands parking lot, 2200 S. Commercial
Harrisonville United Methodist Church parking lot, 2600 E. Mechanic
Harrisonville High School, 1504 E. Elm
McEowen Elementary School, 1901 S. Halsey
Harrisonville Elementary School, 101 Megan Drive

Meal pickup is between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm each weekday.

Special thanks to our food service vendor, OPAA, and our bus company, Durham School Services, for helping ensure this program could happen.
