Agnes Lucille Cantrell
March 20, 1933 – July 28, 2019
Agnes Lucille (Sloan) Cantrell, Harrisonville, formerly of Thayer, was born
March 20, 1933, in Koshkonong, the daughter of Lester Eugene and Alta Ozetta (Whiteside) Sloan. When Agnes was 2, her father died and she was raised by her stepfather, James Tobias Phipps.
She died July 28 at her home surrounded by love and family at the age of
86 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Agnes moved to Harrisonville in 2010 after living 19 years in Thayer caring for her mother and stepdad after she retired from the Goodyear Tire Company.
Agnes enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking, quilting, watching TV and
spending time with family and friends. Besides her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica A. Cantrell; her half sister, Mildred Madden; a half brother, Buerl Phipps; and her brother-in-law, Norman Vaughn.
Agnes is survived by her son, Robert G. Cantrell, Jr., and wife Brenda, Harrisonville; four grandchildren; Jennifer J. Walker, Danielle D. Miles, Nicole E. Hantel, all of Liberty; and Josh R. Cantrell, Harrisonville; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Joycelee (Sloan) Vaughn, Belton, Kathryn
(Phipps) Russell and husband, Elmer, Thayer; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A private family inurnment will be at the Walker Cemetery, Thayer, at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Carl Edwin Chamberlain
Sept. 19, 1947 – July 30, 2019
Carl Edwin Chamberlain, 71, East Lynne, died July 30 at his home after along illness. A dinner was held at the East Lynne City Hall Aug. 3 in his honor.
Carl retired from Allied Concrete Products in Grandview after 30 years of service to his adopted Furey and Maguire family.
He loved to hunt and fish with many family members and friends before and after his retirement, especially with his dad, brothers and boys.
Carl was a lifelong Cass County resident and was a 1965 graduate of Harrisonville High School.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanchie Marie Chamberlain; daughter, Misty Dawn Nichol; brother, SidneyDale Chamberlain; and the mother of his children, Karen Roberts Chamberlain.
Carl is survived by his father, Carl Jerry Chamberlain, Warsaw; his wife, Polly Evans, of the home; sons, Carl Wayne Chamberlain and Mark Edward Chamberlain, both of Harrisonville; grandchildren, Payton Chamberlain, Lee’s Summit, Tyler Nichol, Chance Chamberlain and Mackina Chamberlain, all of Harrisonville; brothers, Ronald Chamberlain, Osceola, Aaron Chamberlain and Robert Chamberlain, both of East Lynne, and
Glenn Chamberlain, Butler; sisters, Joyce Todd, Kenefic, Oklahoma, Wanda
Bell, Holden, Pearl Dodson, Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Deanna Chamberlain, Independence; and the many, many cousins, nieces and nephews he left behind, well loved, along with many dear friends.

Edward “Eddie” Crowder
May 30, 1954 – July 27, 2019
Edward “Eddie” Crowder, 65, Belton, formerly of Harrisonville, died July 27 at his home in Belton.
A celebration of life service was held July 30 at the Atkinson Funeral Home,
Harrisonville. Contributions may be made to the Eddie Crowder Memorial Fund, c/o Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Eddie was born May 30, 1954, in Kansas City the son of Lyle Curtis and Hazel B. (Mudd) Crowder. He was a lifelong Cass County resident.
Eddie was a truck driver all of his life until he was forced to retire on disability in February 1999. His career began withJack Cooper Trucking, hauling cars nationwide. He then became an owner/operator of his own rig, which was referred to as “Big Yellow.” In the years following, Eddie drove for several different individuals, including Ray Ford and Sam Helt.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cerra Lee Crowder; and two brothers, Dale LaRue Crowder and Larry Curtis Crowder.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacy Renee Crowder, Belton; a brother, Gary Dean Crowder (Kim), Harrisonville; sister-in-law, Wanda Crowder, West Line;and a sister, Patti Jo Baker (Rex), Archie; six grandchildren; and three, soon to be four, great-grandchildren; and his best friend of 40 years, Vickie Walker (Donnie), Raytown.

Jeffrey Jay Harper

Jeffrey Jay Harper, 57, Raymore, died July 21 at his home. No services are
scheduled at this time.
Jeff was born Aug. 1, 1961, in Olathe, Kansas, the son of Don G. and Sheryl (Garten) Harper.
He was a 1980 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. He worked
for Clarence M. Kelly & Associates as a privateinvestigator and Opera-
tions Manager. Previously, he served as the Chief of Police in Peculiar.
Jeff was a lifelong resident of Peculiar and Raymore. He was a member of theGrand River Masonic Lodge No. 276, Freeman.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Don and Sheryl Harper, Ft. Scott, Kansas; a step- son, Zach Humphrey (Katherine), Kansas City; two brothers, Don Harper, Jr., (Julie), Hutchinson, Kansas, and Tim Harper (Janet), Ft. Scott, Kansas; two sisters, Jonalin Witt (Larry), Raymore, and Sherri Catron, Harrisonville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Philip Harper, May 26, 2018.

Luisa Patricia “Pat” Lagud

Luisa Patricia “Pat” Lagud, 73, Garden City, died July 31 surrounded by her
family. She was bornOct. 5, 1945, the daughter of Juan Onate, Rosas and Ruth Madrid de Onate in Osorno, Chile.
She married William Fredrick Lagud Oct. 23, 1965, in Santiago, Chile. Pat was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for more than 40 years.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was a member of the Red Hat Society in Zapata, Texas, where she and Fred spent their winters for the past 20 years.
Pat is survived by her husband, Fred; her sons, Fred (Heather) Lagud, Jr., and Jimmy Lagud; her sister, Juanita; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held at the McGilley & George Funeral Home on Aug. 9.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the McGilley & George Funeral Home, Grandview.
Neal Moles

Neal Moles, 73 Drexel, died July 26
Funeral services were July 29 at the Mullinax Funeral Home-Drexel Chapel, Drexel, with Greg Mullinax officiating. Burial was in Sharon Cemetery
near Drexel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christopher and Gavin Moles Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Neal was born Sept. 14, 1945, the son of Lester and Virginia (Ackerley) Moles. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1963. After high school he attended college and was then drafted into the Marine Corps.
Neal spent most of his life driving a truck. In 2014 he retired to enjoy going
to sporting events and talking about sports, something he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his fatherLester Moles; his mother, Virginia Ferguson; stepfather, Jim Ferguson; father-in-law, Taylor Mills; mother-in-law, Ellen Mills; and his grandsons, Christopher and Gavin.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; fourchildren; 11 grandchildren; three great- grandsons; three siblings; and many additional family members and friends.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home-Drexel Chapel.
Daniel Ray Reighard
April 19, 1960 – July 24, 2019

Daniel Ray Reighard, 59, Drexel, died July 24 at his home in Drexel. He was
born April 19, 1960, the son of Bobby Leo and Helen Marie Cline Reighard in Kansas City.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Kathy Reighard, Drexel; two sons, Chris
Reighard, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Joshua Beebe, Laconia, New Hampshire; a daughter, Stacy Lea Presley, Pleasant Hill; a brother, Mike Reighard, Drexel; a sister, Peggy Lerch, Drexel; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gini-Lee Rose Whitcraft

Gini-Lee Rose Whitcraft, 4-month-old daughter of Jodie and Maria “Mia” Whitcraft, Harrisonville, died July 31 at Chidren’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Funeral services were Aug. 7 at the West Line Christian Church, West Line.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Gini-Lee was born March 12, 2019. in Lee’s Summit.
