GriefShare to meet in Archie
GriefShare seminars will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays through May 4 at the Archie Baptist Church, 302 S. Missouri St., Archie.
GriefShare is a special 13-week seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after the death of a loved one.
There is a $15 registration fee that covers the workbook, journal and refreshments.

Farmers Market group to hold annual meeting
People interested in being a vendor at the Harrisonville Farmers Market are invited to attend the annual vendors meeting to get all the information they will need to join the market group for its sixth season.
The meeting will be from 6 to 7 p.m. April 11 at the Harrisonville Community Center, 2400 S. Jefferson Parkway, Harrisonville.
The Harrisonville Farmers Market takes place on the Harrisonville Square from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday, June through September. A variety of seasonal produce and handcrafted items are sold.

Free Community Health Screenings
Cass Regional Medical Center is providing free health screenings from 9 to 11:30 a.m. April 12, at Archie City Hall, 302 S.W. Outer Rd., Suite C, Archie.
Receive free blood pressure, blood oxygen and blood sugar screenings and obtain a free total lipid profile, which measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides. For most accurate results, screening participants are asked to fast for at least 12 hours prior to the screening and take medications as usual (with water only). No appointments are necessary.

Peculiar Chamber to host Easter egg hunt
The Peculiar Chamber of Commerce will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. April 13 at the West Peculiar Fire Protection District 1 headquarters, 200 S. Main St., Peculiar.
There are two divisions, one for prekindergarten through first grade and one for kindergarten through fourth grade.
Area youth are invited to join in the fun and meet the Easter Bunny.

Taco Tuesday at VFW
Taco Tuesday has returned for a limited time at VFW Post 4409, 1804 N. Commercial St., Harrisonville.
Tacos will be available while supplies last from 5 to 7:30 p.m. April 16 and May 21.
Deep-fried tacos are $1.50 each and the public is welcome to dine in or take their orders to go.

The monthly meeting of the Bringing the Vietnam Moving Wall to Harrisonville will be at 7 p.m. April 16 at the American Legion building, 303 E. Pearl St., Harrisonville.

Teen Iron Chef competition slated at library
Students in grades six through 12 are invited to enter the 2019 Iron Teen Chef competition from 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 18 at the Harrisonville branch of the Cass County Public Library.
Those participated compete in teams of up to three for a chance to win the title. Registration is required.

Cass Regional Medical Center will host a free Diabetes Support Group meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 18, in conference rooms 1, 2 and 3, located directly inside the main entrance of Cass Regional at 2800 East Rock Haven Rd., Harrisonville.
Monthly, Cass Regional’s Diabetes Education team presents topics on current trends in diabetes treatments, lifestyle modification options and topics of interest for those who have diabetes or who have loved ones diagnosed with diabetes.

Cass Regional Medical Center is offering a free arthritis seminar from noon to 1 p.m. May 1.
Orthopedic surgeon Kenneth Peterson, DO and rheumatologist Kevin Latinis, MD, PhD, will share opinions for relief. They will also walk participants through everything from diagnosis to treatment options.

- For each one you bring, take one home.

- You can bring them in water or soil, but each start should be in individual containers.
