A 37-year-old Cass County man was arrested Feb. 26 and charged with felony burglary following a tip by a local citizen noticing unusual activity at a storage building in the 900 block of S. Oakland St.
Arrested was Amos Hillard Matlock, who is being held in the Cass County Jail on a $5,000, cash-only bond.
According to reports, police received a tip and arrived on the scene and observed indications of a forced entry. It was then reported officers found several tools which had been moved from their normal location and stacked near the door.
Because of the size of the building, the Harrisonville police requested a K-9 from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department. The dog led to Matlock’s discovery.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Matlock is scheduled to appear in court on May 2 at 9 a.m.
